About Acupuncture

Through promoting natural healing, acupuncture has helped patients for over three thousand years. This is achieved by inserting fine hair-sized needles into patients at points of meridians or channels to achieve Yin and Yang balance. The brain releases endorphins during treatment which reduce pain and inflammation whilst encouraging relaxation of the mind and spirit.

In a healthy person, blood and Qi (vital energy) flow smoothly through the meridians or channels of the body without interruption. The body’s internal organs should be regulated and in balance (Yin and Yang). Sickness can indicate that the meridians or channels are blocked and that organs are out of balance. Acupuncture can stimulate a certain point of the body to unblock or regulate the meridians and the organs.
