Tongue diagnostic skills are one of the most important components of the four diagnostic methods used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Careful tongue observation can reveal significant signs and imbalances, often before clients themselves are aware of symptoms. It helps reflect past health conditions as well as indicate potential future imbalances. For patients who live a long distance from my clinic, tongue diagnosis is a highly effective way to assess their condition from the comfort of their own home. Based on the tongue findings, herbal formulas are prescribed according to the individual’s condition and are typically reviewed on a weekly basis to ensure effectiveness and appropriate adjustment.
Please take the photo or video first thing in the morning, under natural light, after getting up and before eating or drinking anything. This helps show the most accurate reflection of your current health condition.
